1. AS 1668.3 2003 Fire and Smoke Control in Multi Compartment Buildings

Flowtech Air Conditioning has the technical expertise to adhere to this standard as it relates to the commissioning of multi compartment buildings and the ongoing test requirements of AS1851.

2. AS 1851.2 - 2005 Maintenance of Fire Protection Equipment and Systems

The AS 1851.2 2005 requirements are an essential part of maintaining your building.

Sections 17 and 18 of this standard relate to the maintenance regime of mechanical components of a multi compartment building. Under the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 it is a legal requirement to maintain records of testing for all life safety systems. Both companies and individuals can be fined for non-conformance under the regulation.

Flowtech Air Conditioning ensures that all mandatory maintenance tasks under Section 17 and 18 meet statutory requirements. These include:

• stair pressurisation testing
• zone and purge systems pressurisation
• motorised smoke and fire dampers

Hot and warm smoke testing

Smoke testing is a requirement for many new projects – especially where a fire engineered solution has been applied. Projects include atriums, tunnels and warehouses.
